SHOCK AS SHEEP ALLOWED TO ROT IN STREAM FOR TWO WEEKS

first_imgA dead sheep has been allowed to rot in a stream in Letterkenny for the past two weeks.The carcass of the dead sheep rots away in the stream.A member of the public contacted Donegal Daily to say they spotted the sheep dumped in the stream at the IDA Business Park on April 8th.However despite contacting the county council, the person claims the carcass of the dead animal is still there. The person, who asked not to be named, said the stream is often used by children to play in.“On the 8th April, I called the County Council to report a dead sheep being dumped in a stream in the IDA Business Park in Letterkenny. “A council person took my report & assured me that the report would be given to the Litter Warden and I would be contacted as to the location of this carcass.“As of today (23rd April), the sheep carcass is still in the upper part of the stream in the Business Park. I made another call to the County Council office this morning and an official assured me again that someone would be in contact with me.
