DUNLEAVY PUTS PEN TO PAPER AT CORK FOR ANOTHER SEASON

first_imgFormer Wolves star Johnny Dunleavy has resigned for Cork City.Johnny DunleavyThe 22 year old Ballybofey man has agreed to extend his stay with Cork City for another season, the club have confirmed.A Donegal native, Dunleavy joined the Leesiders in January 2012 and was a key figure for the club in 2013, making 25 league appearances. Speaking after signing a new deal, he said that he was “delighted” to remain at Turners Cross and believes that it is an “exciting time” to be at the club.“I’ve loved it in Cork since I’ve been here and I’m delighted to be back for another season,” Dunleavy told the club’s official website.“I think it is a massive opportunity for us all to push on and achieve something. It is a very exciting time for the club with John coming in as manager and so many signings being made.”Cork City manager John Caulfield paid tribute to the former Wolverhampton Wanderers youth player, insisting that he is “a real winner.” “He has been a fantastic player for us, he has a super attitude and he is another top quality player,” said Caulfield.“He is what we want in the squad, [he is] a real winner.
