Broadway Grosses: Eclipsed & Bright Star Kick Spring Season Into High Gear

Eclipsed, starring Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o, began performances at the John Golden Theatre on February 23 and played its first week of previews at 97.27% capacity. The Steve Martin and Edie Brickell musical Bright Star kicked off at the Cort Theatre on February 25 and played four performances at 77.24%. While both shows reached a modest gross potential, it’s possible further preview performances and buzz will bring those numbers up higher.
