Dix Hills Crash Leaves Woman Dead

first_imgSign up for our COVID-19 newsletter to stay up-to-date on the latest coronavirus news throughout New York A 42-year-old Brentwood woman was struck and killed while crossing a road in Dix Hills early Wednesday morning.Suffolk County police said Felicia Romero was walking across East Deer Park Road when she was hit by a northbound Chevrolet Traverse at 12:13 a.m.The victim was taken to Huntington Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly later.The driver, 48-year-old William Ackerman of Northport, was not injured or charged.Second Squad detectives impounded the vehicle, are continuing the investigation and ask anyone with information on the crash to call them at 631-854-8252.
