Yahoo! Sports Announces Major College Football News For 2018 Season

Unfortunately, college football fans haven’t had a great mainstream college fantasy football option to this point.It appears that that is changing this fall.This morning, Yahoo! Sports, which runs one of the most popular NFL fantasy football platforms in the country, announced that it is finally starting college fantasy football.Yahoo! college fantasy football will feature players from the Power Five leagues and Notre Dame.That gives players 65 full rosters to build teams from. More, on Yahoo!’s college fantasy game:Yahoo Sports College Fantasy Football will feature players from 65 teams. That’s all of the Power Five (ACC, Big 10, Big 12, Pac 12, SEC) teams plus Notre Dame.From there, your team will look very much like your normal NFL fantasy roster. It will feature 15 player slots, just like the default roster size for NFL fantasy football:1 QB2 RB2 WR1 TE1 FLEX (WR/RB/TE)1 K1 D/ST6 benchJust like with NFL fantasy, you can create or join a league that hosts between four and 20 players. You can choose from three different draft styles — standard, autodraft and offline. You can customize whether you want to play head-to-head or total points, and your commissioner can customize scoring. Default scoring in 2018 will include a half-point per reception. No Pro or Cash leagues will be available.The college fantasy football season is set to run from August 30, the true Week 1 of this season, until the November 24 games. The few games that fall in ‘Week 0’ before August 30, and then the conference title and bowl games are not included.We’re sure there are some Group of Five fans that want to draft some of the top players in those leagues.
